Two New Videos

Two new videos have been added to the gallery, as part of the autonomous forestry sampling PhD research conducted by Tzu-Jui Lin, who successfully defended his PhD Thesis recently.

These videos, filmed within the motion capture laboratory, highlight two parts of his work. One looks at following not only a desired trajectory, but also doing so at a constant velocity, and the highest speed which we have flown at in the space. The other shows the ability to avoid obstacles through creating a hazards map, the aircraft automatically avoiding an obstacle when instructed to fly through it.

Head on over to the Gallery to check out these videos, or watch them on our Youtube channel. To find out more about Tzu-Jui’s work, head to the Past Projects page for details.
